It’s been kind of hard for me, the past few days, because I know school starts again soon, and I’m really enjoying seeing my kids. There has been lots of snuggling.
Today I finally set up a chess board I got months ago, and got to play with my oldest. ♥️
I haven’t played chess in a very long time. I’m terrible at it. It was so much fun.
The sunset was really, really beautiful and bright tonight.
I’ve been re-learning how to make friendship bracelets. I feel like I haven’t done it since I was in high school. It’s been really fun.
Here’s a pic from one I made a week ago or so for one of the kids.
I used scraps from it to make one for myself so we’d match, then did the same thing once I made bracelets for my other son, and also for Alex.
I played around with Audacity again yesterday and recorded this. It’s from “Guys ‘N Dolls.” I actually performed it with two other women, in high school, and we were all dressed like men, pretty unconvincingly.
I’m up too late and should probably sleep. (Grief is with me all the time. I find myself shining to survive.)
